My salary has been rendered even smaller than is usually the case for a similar position by the deduction made for the Widows' and Orphans' Fund during the past three years, a similar deduction not having been made I believe in the case of any other officer who has joined the service.
In further support of my request I would ask you to draw the attention of the Government to the disparity
